When do I need to order my stationery?
Every couple has a different idea of how soon they want to have their invitations. Remember you’ll be sending them out 6-8 weeks before the wedding (more if you’re having a destination wedding), and you’ll want to allow yourself plenty of time to write them. Not even the best bridesmaid will want to help you with this job!
Unlike the normal online shopping purchase, here at Aye Do we have to customise each invitation purchased with your information and then produce the final product. Conversations back-and-forth can also take time, particularly with custom invites, so please allow yourself plenty of time for ordering and delivery. We recommend you allow 4 months for Off-The-Peg invitations and 6 months for any custom orders. If there is less than 4 months to your wedding, don’t panic. We can generally accommodate quicker turnarounds, but please send us a message to confirm before purchase – we book up quickly!
What happens after I place my order?
Once you order your invitations online with us, payment is processed and all relevant information for the stationery is received, we can start work. You will receive a digital proof of your invitation via email in 2 – 3 weeks which will require your approval via email before the order can be sent to print. From final approval we then aim to have your order dispatched within 15 days. Please note: There may need to be conversations back and forth between the time you get your first draft and you approve the final design, particularly if you are making changes. We recommend you allow yourself plenty of time to allow for this.
How many invitations should I order?
Always Order. Extra. Invitations. Whatever your final number is, I recommend you add on at least 10 – you’ll thank me for this later. You can be guaranteed that there will be a third cousin on your mum’s side that you’ve completely forgotten about and mistakes are so easily made when writing! If you end up running out and need to order a re-print, this is seen as a new order so may be more expensive in the long run.
"I like this invitation, but I would like it in blue to match my theme..."
Colour changes are not a problem and are included in the cost of the invitations. Other changes to the design are possible but may come with a small design charge. Just send any special requests to us at hello@ayedo.ie
I need to order less invitations than your minimum number
If you’re having an intimate wedding or are ordering reprints and want to order less than the minimum number required, please send an email to hello@ayedo.ie.
I live in Northern Ireland, do I still get free delivery?
Delivery is free to addresses in both The Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. For couples living in the rest of the UK, there is a small cost of €11 for shipping. Other delivery charges for the rest of the world are based on location.
Which is YOUR favourite invitation?
“I grew up on a farm so I’d have to say ‘Country Cows‘ is my favourite – it’s really tough to find farm-themed invitations that are stylish but I like to think this one is. I really like all of them… though I’m definitely biased!” – Ruth
